Janice R. Bechtol, 98, of Coshocton passed away at Signature Health Care in Coshocton on Friday April 15, 2016 with her family by her side. She had resided at Signature Health Care for four years.
Janice was born in Summit County, Ohio on February 28, 1918 to the late Willard and Lola McCoy.
After graduating valedictorian of her class from Clark High School (Holmes County) Janice married Raymond Wesley Bechtol on August 17, 1935, they were married for sixty years, Raymond passed away on May 8, 1995.
Janice was a member of Keene United Methodist Church. She was a lifelong homemaker whose greatest joy was her family, her horses and her dogs.
She is survived by her daughter Kaye (Alan) Potts of Coshocton; three granddaughters Alana (David) Lapp of Coshocton, DeeAnn (Dave) Shepler of Warsaw and Elaine (Steve Freeman) Bryant of Coshocton; seven great grandchildren Michelle (Nathan) Way, Jennifer (Jason) Massie, Stephanie (Pat) Snyder, Calvin (Liz) Waters, Tyler Waters, Griffin Bryant and Austin Bryant; three great great grandchildren Luke, Layton and Laramie Massie.
Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her two great great grandchildren Addy and Grady Snyder.
To honor Janice’s wishes, a cremation will take place. Graveside memorial services will be held in South Lawn Cemetery on Wednesday April 20, 2016 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Dairel Kaiser and Pastor Charles Warren officiating.
The family would like to thank the dedicated staff at Signature Health Care for their care and compassion, not only towards Janice but to her family as well.
