I found "Hobie" to be a very warm and caring man full of laughter and love for his fellow person. I knew him through Journey's End Ministries and found him to be a good friend the first time we met. He was short in stature, and I kidded him about stacking boxes too high and he would reply with, "I am glad that I am short because during the war, I could hear the bullets flying over my hear, and if I was taller, I may have been shot". Good ole Hobie, He is in the hands of his Lord and Savior now. Good going my friend. I will see you again someday.

We are so sorry to hear about the passing of Hobert. He was such a wonderful person that seemed so shy but when talking to him there were great stories to be heard and when he wanted to let you know what he was thinking, he would do so with his sensitive and funny personality. I know he will be missed by all but I am sure he is happy to be with the love of his life Madeline. Our thoughts are with you all.

We are sending prayer for everyone in the loss of uncle Hobert, your Dad & grandfather. He definitely has a special soul. We were all blessed to know him.
