Obituary

William “Bill” Newell, 85, of Coshocton passed away Friday, August 18, 2023 at Scenic Pointe Nursing Home in Millersburg, Ohio. He was born in Dennison, OH on October 25, 1937 to the late William and Ethel (Streeter) Newell.

Bill served in the United States Navy and worked as a welder for Peabody Coal. In his earlier years he enjoyed fishing and working on cars.

Bill is survived by his children John (Wendy) Newell, Joseph “Joe” (Tammy) Newell, Kristina “Krissy” Newell, and Karen Newell; grandchildren, Mary Hook, Johhny Jr. and Justin Newell, Shanna and Nikki Newell, Lilliana and Gago Cruz, Andre Deeds, Ashton, Essence, and Chandler Gambill, Bryce and Jaycee Wiggins, Gauge Perdue; and several great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his son, Larry Newell; siblings Dorothy “Dot” Valentine, Butch and Larry Newell, Harriett Guilliams, Karen Newell, and Mary Lou Barnett.

Per William’s wishes there will be no services at this time and a cremation will take place.
