William "Bill" Junior McCoy

William “Bill” J. McCoy, 91, of West Lafayette passed away Friday April 28, 2023 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.  He was born in Coshocton, Ohio on May 10, 1931 to the late John W. and Erma (Almack) McCoy.

Bill worked at Clows (McWane Ductile) as a supervisor for 39.5 years before retiring.  He was also the owner/operator of Coshocton Sharpening Service. Bill was a member of Prairie Chapel Church and enjoyed fishing, woodworking, gardening, and being outdoors.

Bill is survived by his wife, Carol (Tyson) Yoho McCoy of West Lafayette; grandson Jason (Tessa) Bailey; great grandson Gauge Bailey; stepson Brian (Lee) Jost; siblings Anna May Hoop, Mary Louise Arnold, Noreen Mandis, and Ellen Lauvray all of Coshocton; and several step grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wives, Mary Ellen (Spectman) McCoy and Rose Ellen (Herman) McCoy; daughters Julie McCoy and Debbie Bailey; and his stepson Bruce Jost.

Graveside services will be held at South Lawn Cemetery on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at 1:00pm with Pastor Matt Wilson officiating.
