Sharon Ankrum Obituary

Sharon Ankrum was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She left this world on March 3, 2021 at age 73 after a long illness.

She was born to Robert and Dorothy Lukens on August 12, 1947 in Coshocton, Ohio. After graduating from high school, she married her sweetheart, David Ankrum on June 25, 1966. Together they raised three children, Michael (Barbara) Ankrum of Huntsville, Alabama, Brian (Lindy) Ankrum of Howard, Ohio, and Matthew (Dawna) Ankrum of Coshocton, Ohio.

Sharon loved spending time talking and visiting with friends and family. She loved being a part of prayer chains and was well known for sending lovely cards with messages of hope and well-being through her card ministry. A lifelong church goer, Sharon touched many lives and was a member of the Fresno United Methodist Church. Sharon has battled serious medical issues for many years and has shown her courage in facing life challenges with a smile. She loved life and was a wonderful example on how to live life to the fullest.

She is survived and greatly missed by, her husband, her children, grandchildren Michael, Jeremiah, Brooke, Courtney, and Katie and great-grandchild, Cora; siblings, Margaret McMaster of North Canton, Ohio and John (Dodie) Lukens of West Lafayette, Ohio, as well as many other family and community members whose lives she enriched over the years.

At this time a cremation will take place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made in Sharon's name to Martha’s Cupboard, PO Box 85, Fresno, Ohio 43824 or Fresno United Methodist Church Scholarship Fund, PO Box 85, Fresno, Ohio 43824
