Robert Thomas Obituary
Robert Thomas, 62, of Coshocton passed away on Wednesday April 24, 2019 at the Morrison House Hospice in Zanesville.
Rob was born in Coshocton on January 20, 1957 to Lewis Thomas and Helen (Riggle) Ormesher.
He served in the US Navy during Vietnam as a Navy Seabee, was a member of the American Legion, Coshocton Eagles Lodge and Coshocton Moose Lodge. Rob was also a talented carpenter and retired as a construction worker for the Maryland Department of Transportation.
Rob enjoyed spending time with his family almost as much as he loved sweets and fishing. Even in his final weeks, he mentioned that all he wanted was some strawberry ice cream and a bit of fishing.
He is survived by his daughter Lindsay Thomas of Lexington, KY; father Lewis Thomas of Coshocton; mother Helen Ormesher of Coshocton; siblings Teri McInerney of Coshocton, Roger (Sue) Thomas of Coshocton and Gary Thomas of Coshocton; special loving niece Carissa Kohl Hoops of Coshocton; several aunts, uncles, cousins nieces and nephews.
Rob was preceded in death by his step father Robert “Bob” Ormesher.
Per Rob’s wishes, a cremation will take place.
