Robert Dean Holder

Robert Dean Holder, age 73, of West Lafayette, passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021 at his home in West Lafayette, Ohio. He was born on February 24, 1948 in Coshocton, Ohio to the late Dessel P. and Mable (Hodges) Holder. He was a 1966 graduate of Ridgewood High School and a 1971 graduate of Malone University. In 1981, he obtained his Master of Science in Education Degree from Dayton University. Dean’s teaching career began at Garaway Local Schools before he finished an additional 28 year career at Claymont High School where he worked as a teacher then guidance counselor. He was a member of the Fresno United Methodist Church, Elks Lodge #376 in Coshocton, Moose Lodge #1337 in Newcomerstown, Moose Lodge #935 in Coshocton, American Legion Post 431 in Newcomerstown, Coshocton Eagles #761, and the National Nostalgic Nova Club.

Dean will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He was ready to meet the Lord and join his mother, father, and loved ones who preceded his passing. All those who knew Dean will always feel blessed to have had him in their lives. His legacy, wisdom, and presence will live on through all the lives that he touched.

He is survived by his sister, Marsha Jane (Roger) Warne; nephews, Justin Warne of West Lafayette, and Jordan (Sara) Warne of West Lafayette; great niece, Kyna Lyn Warne; great nephew, Jeremy Jordan Warne; aunts, Ruth Groff and Jane Johnson of West Lafayette.
