Rita E Myers

Rita E. Myers, 96, of Coshocton, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Altercare of Coshocton. She was born on October 31, 1924 in Coshocton, to the late John and Lucy (Boyer) Lahna. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School and continued to be a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. On February 16, 1949, she married Lester Myers, who passed away in 2004. She loved reliving childhood memories. She would often tell stories and sing songs to the younger generations of her family. She also enjoyed playing cards with friends.

Rita is survived by her children, Marla (Dick) Myers, Daniel (Rita) Myers, Kenneth (Susan) Myers and Brenda (Rick) McCoy; grandchildren, Kendra (Todd) Parkhill, Morgan (Nick) Buxton, Benny Myers, Bobby (Desiree) Myers, Stephanie (Tyler) Albertson and Josh (Samantha) McCoy; great-grandchildren, Kaylie (Kyle) Knicely, Bryce Parkhill, Britney Rodriguez, Marissa Rodriguez, Alexa Rodriguez, Gavin Albertson, Landon Albertson, Tinsley Albertson, Carmine Myers, Grace Myers, Jason Myers, Henry McCoy and Lena McCoy; great great-grandchildren, Zachary Knicely, Aria Knicely, Michael Knicely and Alyiah Myers; sisters, Rose Shaw and numerous nieces and nephews.  

Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Charles Lahna, Jess Lahna, Eugene Lahna, Harold Lahna, Esther Hiser and Mar y Guinther.

Calling hours will be held at the Miller Funeral Home on Saturday, October 9, 2021, beginning at 10am. A Mass will follow at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Coshocton on Saturday at 11am with Father Homer Blubaugh officiating. Burial will be at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.
