Luanna Sowers Obituary
Luanna K. Sowers, 79, of Coshocton passed away on Tuesday March 24th, 2020 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.
Luanna was born November 19th, 1940 in Coshocton, OH and worked for Golden’s specialty store and the Tribune as the Society Editor. Luanna then moved to Boonville, IN with her family where she was a member of the National Women’s Organization, “Tri Delta Theta Tau” for many years. She spent over ten years working for Southern Indiana Rehabilitation Services and was also very involved with the Special Olympics, volunteering with them for many years. Luanna loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and she also loved to dance.
Luanna is survived by her daughters Kara (Rusty) Guilliams of Nashville and Marci Shirel of Coshocton; granddaughter Mackenzi (Daniel) Wildermuth; great-grandchildren Rowan, Porter and Riece Wildermuth; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Luanna is preceded in death by her husband Roger Sowers and her grandson Tyler Mohler.
Per the family’s wishes a cremation will take place for Luanna; The Miller Funeral Home is assisting the family at this time.
