John Dovenbarger Obituary
John L. Dovenbarger, 80, of West Lafayette, Ohio passed away at Lafayette Pointe Nursing Home in West Lafayette on Saturday February 27, 2021.
John was born in Morgan County on October 20, 1940 to the late Alfred and Alta (Cain) Dovenbarger.
He graduated from Conesville High School, had worked at AEP Conesville Power Plant in security and in the maintenance department at Whispering Falls Campground and the Coshocton County Fairgrounds. John and his wife, Glenna were well known for selling Snow Cones, Popcorn and Lemonade at their traveling concession stand, “Dove’s Concessions.”
John is survived by his children Donnie (Cecelia) Shriver of Leesburg, FL, Dane Shriver of Wooster and Jonna (Bruce) Wright of Wooster; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Glenna Dovenbarger; two brothers Bob and Junior Dovenbarger; three sisters Pearl Miller, Jean Dovenbarger and Judy Edie.
A graveside memorial service will be held in South Lawn Cemetery on Monday July 26, 2021 at 2:00 PM.
