Jean Raber Obituary

Jean C. Raber, 84, of Coshocton passed away at her home surrounded by family on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. She was born in Coshocton on August 16, 1939 to the late Vincent Francis and Laura (Hiser) Lauvray.
After graduating from Sacred Heart High School, Jean worked at the County Home before marrying her husband, Noah Raber, on October 8, 1960. She loved being a homemaker, wife, mom, grandmother and great grandmother. She was always ready for visitors with coffee, mint tea, milk and cookies or was willing to cook up a full meal for visitors to enjoy. Her cooking and baking hold many memories for all her family and friends, especially her grandchildren who helped her bake cookies.  She loved to share her love for cooking. Her kitchen table was the best place to be. Even if you couldn't visit her, she was just a phone call away and was willing to lend an ear on the phone listening while she sat at her kitchen table.
She enjoyed seeing all the cardinals and blue jays that came to her feeder that was in her flower gardens that she loved tending too. She also enjoyed collecting bells.
Jean is survived by her children Bob (Kathy) Raber, Barb (Mike) Daugherty, Tom (Shelly) Raber, Dan (Pam) Raber, and Laurel (Lance) Lauvray all of Coshocton; grandchildren Melissa (Adam) Davis of Johnstown, Ryan (Tisha) Raber, Sara (Andres) Antequera, Andy (Carrie) Raber, Emily, Austin, and Whitney (Emily Jacobs) Raber all of Coshocton, Laura (Jacob) Sleeth of Iowa, Laikin (Dylan Sindle) Lauvray, Leeland (Karrie) Lauvray both of Coshocton and Lucas (Shawna Shroyer) Lauvray of Columbus; step grandchildren Katie (Brenden) Monticelli of NC, Evan (Jen) Stiteler  and Owen Stiteler of Coshocton; great grandchildren Mason, Noah, and Owen Davis, Zoey and Callum Raber and Isabella, Atleigh, and Bowen Raber, Ella and Vera Antequera, Dawson and Vivyan Lauvray, Oaklynn and Tatum (Coming in June) Sindle, Lance and Elizabeth Sleeth; step great grandson Ace Schuhart, Mav Glaister, Paul, Cory, Xavior, and Liam Sleeth; brother Dave (Ina) Lauvray; and many nieces and nephews.
