Janice Sycks, 42, of Coshocton passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. She was born on February 4, 1982 in California. On November 9, 2016, she married her husband, Jeff Sycks. They have spent the last 22 years together. She was a longtime member of the Presbyterian Church and very committed to the Fellowship committee with Judy Addy. They could be found working in the kitchen, making meals for different engagements. She was extremely active in her son’s Boy Scout tenure that spanned 10 years. She was a Scout Leader and spent countless hours crafting and helping many children earn badges. For the last 10 years, Janice has been known to others as “Ms. Janice”, working as the Youth Services Coordinator at the Coshocton County District Library. She touched the lives of numerous children and parents in our community. She worked diligently making sure her Lapsit classes and other programs were engaging and fun and the youth room at the library was beautiful and welcoming to patrons. Along with the programs Janice was pivotal in other operational areas of the library.
