Frances L. (Truex) Arnold

Frances Arnold, 76, of West Lafayette passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at the Community Hospice Truman House. She was born on February 19,1947 in Martins Ferry, Ohio to the late Francis and Virginia (Hymes) Truex. On December 27, 1969, she married Gary Arnold, who survives. She worked at Baker’s Foods and retired as the Activities Director at Lafayette Pointe. Frances was very active at the First Baptist Church in Newcomerstown. She was a member of the Judson Circle and helped with other ministries. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star as well.  She loved to sew and cook and especially loved music and singing. Family was near and dear to her heart; she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Along with her husband, she is survived by her children, Michael (Julie) Arnold of North Ridgeville, Ohio and Sara (Shaine) Cowan of Muskegon, Michigan; grandchildren, Anah and Teah Arnold and Silas and Scarlett Cowan as well as sister, Betty Glazer and sister-in-law, Bonnie Truex and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death is her daughter, Jennifer Lynn Arnold and siblings, Raymond Truex, Alice Grewell and Patricia Grewell.

Calling hours will be at The Miller Funeral Home on Monday, May 22, 2023 from 4pm to 6pm.  A funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 6pm with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating. Following a cremation, burial will take place at West Lawn Cemetery in Newcomerstown.
