Obituary

Elvin L. Pitcher, 85, of Coshocton passed away at his home on Friday June 17, 2022. Elvin was born in Shelbyville, Indiana on on May 8, 1937, to the late Parker and Inez (Mitchell) Pitcher. He was a United State Marine Veteran, serving from 1954 to 1957. On, May 24, 1957, he married Janice (Lowe) Pitcher who survives. They celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary this year. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for the County in Indiana. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Coshocton. He loved living on the farm and he loved his animals, especially horses. He enjoyed watching Texas Ranger and could tell you what came next on the show. He loved his grandchildren and spending time with them.

Along with his wife Janice, he is survived by his children, Trent (Kim) Pitcher of Indiana and Kent (Ellen) Pitcher of Colorado; grandchildren, Megan, Devin, Joshua, Joanna and Conrad as well as several great grandchildren.

Elvin is preceded in death by his daughters, Carrie Iwanicki and Melanie Hodgins and brother, Jack Pitcher.

Calling hours will be at the Miller Funeral Home on Monday, June 27, 2022 from 1 to 2pm. The funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 2pm with son, Pastor Kent Pitcher officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery with the Coshocton Veterans Honor Guard performing military honors.
