Obituary

Charles Roof, age 71, of Dresden, passed away on April 26, 2023 at the Morrison House in Zanesville. He was born on October 7, 1951 in Coshocton to the late Gary Roof and Irene (Hawk) Daugherty. On June 23, 1979, he married Lisa (Bible), who survives. He was a graduate of Ridgewood High School. Charles is a United States Army Veteran, where he served as Military Police. He spent 38 years as a truck driver, driving locally throughout the region. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his children, Rusty (Stephanie) Roof of Granville and Angie (Coba) Taylor of Coshocton; grandchildren, Olivia and Ava Roof, Devin, Dustin, Savannah and Shyanne Taylor; great-grandchildren, Zared, Kaylee, Bryce and Zierra Taylor; siblings, Raymond Roof, Sandy Hardesty, Debbie Lee and Brad Rust; brother-in-law, Steve (Nancy Agin) Bible and sister-in-law, Paula (Rod) Kolb; niece, Michelle (Vic) Hottinger and nephews, Gregg Wells, Jeff Wells, Cory (Sarah) Bible and Kyle (Jessie) Bible as well as step-father, Martin Daugherty.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents.

Per his wishes, a cremation will take place with the Miller-Kaser Cremation Services.
