Obituary

Asa Ervin Watson Jr, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at St. Lukes Lutheran Community. He was born on May 9, 1936 in Byesville, Ohio to the late Asa E. Watson Sr. and Freda (Bundy) Watson. On August 4, 1956, he married Carol (Holdsworth) Watson, who passed away in 2022. Asa and Carol enjoyed traveling together, going to tractor pulls and Nascar Races. 

Asa is survived by his children, Sheryl (Thomas) Slaughter of Coshocton, Teresa (Michael) Mathias of Canton and Tim (Kelly) Watson of Newcomerstown; grandchildren, Gene (Danielle) Howell, Michael (Allysha) Howell, Justin Howell, Randy Slaughter, Taylor (Nate) Slaughter, Jeremy (Jen) Tatro, James Moyer, Jessica (Michael) Montgomery, Thomas (Amanda) Tatro, Heath (Sylvina) Tatro, Ashley (Kevin) Jacque, Kamara (Jason) Watson, Kelsey Watson and Tyler Watson; 25 great- grandchildren; brother, Rick (Rita) Watson.

He is preceded in death by his son, Dennis Watson, sister, Carol Fuller and infant sister, Diane Watson as well as brothers, Bob, John, Davey, and Doug Watson.

Private services will be held with the family and burial will be at Franklin Cemetery.
