Zane Christopher Bieber of West Lafayette entered the arms of Jesus on November 20, 2025. Born in Washington, Indiana, on July 30, 1974, Zane was passionate about his family, Star Wars, science fiction, movies, and video games.
Zane was a 1992 graduate of Ridgewood High School where he sang tenor in choir. He obtained his associate degree in computer science from Kent State Tuscarawas in 1995. He studied freshwater marine biology at BGSU while working as assistant manager at Casey's Hamburgers. He competed with a weekly trivia trio at BW3 in Bowling Green.
Bieber put his boating skills to use at Camp Wesley in Bellefontaine for 2 summers as canoe instructor during college.
Zane returned to West Lafayette in 2001. He worked at Polyflex in Baltic for 25 years. It was there he met fiancée Karyssa, who brought much joy to his life.
In his spare time, Zane was a canine enthusiast, nicknamed the "dog whisperer" by his family. Bieber was a loyal friend to many and put Christian neighboring into practice daily. He gave rides to co-workers, volunteered for Kids Under Construction in Bowling Green, fed hungry folks, and gave people a place to stay.
Zane was preceded in death by his grandparents and father Gene Lawrence Bieber. He is survived by mother Shea Bieber of West Lafayette, sister Cara (and Greg) Noyes of Newark, sister Lana (and Opha) Lawson of Coshocton, nieces Ella and Oona Lawson, nephew Luka Lawson, fiancée Karyssa Becker, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Memorial contributions may be made to his church, West Lafayette United Methodist Church at 120 W Union St. West Lafayette, Ohio 43845.
A celebration of life will take place at The Miller Funeral Home on Friday, November 28, 2025 at 1pm with Pastor Matt Anderson officiating.
