Wilma "Joyce" Brannon, age 96, of Coshocton passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2025 at Altercare of Coshocton. She was born on January 22, 1929 in Coshocton to the late Otto and Merne (Hahn) Stubbs. She was a 1947 graduate of Roscoe School. On November 22, 1951, she married Robert Wayne Brannon, who passed away in 1983. Joyce worked for Indianapolis Glove Factory for several years before leaving to stay at home to raise her daughters. In 1978, she went back to work for Coshocton City Schools as a cook until retiring in 2007 from Lincoln Elementary.
Joyce was an avid sewer and made many outfits for her daughters and herself. She enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren in their many sporting events over the years and could been found watching the Ohio State Buckeyes playing football and basketball, the Guardians baseball team and also the Cleveland Cavs. She looked forward to meeting the ladies she formally worked with every Wednesday morning for breakfast. She was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
Joyce is survived by Diana (Ken) Dooley and Kay (Steve) Gergley; grandchildren, Shane (Stephanie) Dooley, Angela (Ryan) Buskirk, Kayla (Casey) Davis and Clarissa (Chris Casanova) Gergley; great grandchildren, Grace and Oliver Dooley, Aubrey (Ben) Mikulik, Gavin Locke, Wyatt Buskirk; great grandchildren, Drew and Lucy Davis Hudson and Hadley Mikulik as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her siblings, Clyde, John and William Stubbs, Kathryn Musgrave and Vera Thomas.
Calling hours will be at the Miller Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 12 from 10am to 12pm. The funeral service will begin at 12pm with Pastor Brian Kittner officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.
