William "Bill" West Jr.

William "Bill" H. West Jr., 81, of Coshocton passed away Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Ohio State University James Hospital in Columbus. He was born in Coshocton, OH on February 8, 1944 to the late William H. and Mary E. (Curtis) West Sr.

Bill was a member of the Church of God and worked as a janitor there for more than 40 years, he retired from CLOW after 30 years and was a member of Coshocton REACT for 43 years. In 2024 he won the Community Service Award from the Coshocton Fairgrounds where he volunteered. He also enjoyed doing puzzles and spending time with his family.

Bill is survived by his wife, Bessie M. (Shaw) West who he married October 7, 1967; daughters Becki (Randy) Boggess of Florida, Brenda West of Coshocton, and Barbara (Charles) Erbe of Tallmadge; 10 grandchildren: 10 great grandchildren; sisters Bonnie Luce and Caroline Weller; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his son William H. West III; one sister and five brothers.

Calling hours will be held at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton, OH 43812 on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 10:00am - 12:00pm with funeral services beginning at 12:00pm with Pastor Jim Childers officiating. Cremation will take place following services.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be directed towards the Church of God, 703 S. 2nd Street, Coshocton, OH 43812; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
