Tracey Copenhaver Thomas

Tracey Copenhaver Thomas, age 73, of Coshocton passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at her home. She was born on September 30, 1952 in Coshocton to the late Lewis “Chubby” and Jean (Simmons) Copenhaver. On March 23, 1987, she married John Thomas, who survives. Tracey was a gift to others as she was a house cleaner, always leaving a space better than when she arrived. In her spare time, her and John traveled in their camper, enjoying the outdoors. Their travels extended to Europe, California and Virginia. In the outdoors, her and John loved to take rides on their Harley Davidson. Tracey had a fun-loving spirit; she enjoyed music and if there was a band you could find her letting loose, dancing. She shared that love with her daughter as Tracey was a full dance mom, supporting Hallie in her years of competitive dance. Tracey and John were fan of the Cleveland Indians, always cheering them on and never missing a game.

Along with her husband, John, she is survived by her daughter, Hallie Thomas; siblings, Paula Esselburn and Karen Copenhaven; aunt Mickie Galajda and Carolyn Lawrence as well as nieces and nephews, Lauren, Megan and DJ, Ryan and Mindy, Kyle and Jennifer and a host of cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Clint Copenhaver.

Calling hours will be at The Miller Funeral Home on Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 11am to 1pm with a memorial service beginning at 1pm with Ric Bonice officiating.
