Steven Stanton, 74, of Nashport, passed away on Thursday June 5, 2025 at home. He was born on February 4, 1951 in Coshocton to the late William E. and Betty (Jones) Stanton. He was a graduate of Centerville High School. In his working years, he was a member of the Union Local #495 Plumbers and Pipefitters, working as a pipe fitter welder, having worked for 44 years until his retirement. He welded at work and also welded for fun. Making friends and family unique gifts. He was such a great welder, he was known for his welds to look like jewelry. He enjoyed playing in a softball league with friends for years, where he had acquired the nickname Pops. When his children were younger, they enjoyed camping together. He watched Nascar, cheering on his favorite drivers. He leaves his beloved lab, Chevy, yorkie, Bella and fat cat, Precious.
Steve is survived by his wife of almost 33 years, Tina (Bates) Stanton; children, Shane (Shanna) Stanton and Somer Stanton; grandchildren, Zayvia Stanton, Zane Stanton, Zaxton Stanton, Zylee Stanton Pierce Pfister and Aviana Pfister; siblings, Shawn (Jerry) Lapp and Shane (Kathy) Stanton as well as several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be at the Miller Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 from 5pm to 7pm.
