Rowena "Row" Easter

Rowena May Easter, 86, of West Lafayette, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, May 24,2025 at the Morrison House, Genesis hospice care in Zanesville, Ohio. She was born in Coshocton County, Ohio on May 20, 1939 the daughter of the late Leland and Rowena (Veigel) McCoy.

“Row” as she was called by friends loved reading, and watching birds, squirrels and deer from her bay window. She enjoyed sports especially golf, baseball and her favorite, the UConn husky girls basketball team. She was very excited to see them win the national championship this year. She often vacationed in Canada with her husband on fishing trips. Charlie loved to fish! But Row chose to enjoy the scenery and a good book to read while he fished. She was a dedicated employee at Pretty Products for some 30 years working in the mat trimming department.

She spent the last days of her life at a place where squirrels fed by the window, and birds flew in a garden of flowers. A pleasant reminder for those who knew how much little things like that meant to her.

Row was preceded in death by her husband, Charles and daughter Rebecca, sister Lovilla Grace, and brothers Glen, Dean, Ronnie, and Eddie McCoy.

She is survived by a sister Mary Ann Maharg.

Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton, OH 43812 on Thursday, May 29, 2025 from 10:00am – 11:00am with funeral services beginning at 11:00am with Catherine Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery, West Lafayette.
