Ronford "Ron" Vincen McCann, 92, of Coshocton passed away at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville on Monday, September 8, 2025. He was born on July 27, 1933 in Coshocton, to the late Robert Wesley and Charlotte (Butler) McCann.

He graduated in the class of 1951 from Coshocton High School. While in school, he worked part time in the family business and then moved to full time as a Tank Truck driver, pump and maintenance man for McCann Oil Co., (distributor for Quaker State Prod.'s) until he entered the miliary in 1953.

Ron served during the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Army Scarwaf, with the 620th Engr. Aviation Maint. Co as a Heavy Equipment Transporter from 1953-1955 in Chelveston, England.

He was an over-the-road Semi driver for several trucking companies such as: Clow pipe (W.E. Lanning), sewer tile (C.H. Hooker), and coal (Ross Bros). He then started at Cyclops in 1965 and retired from Armco Steel after 30 years. He started as a Truck Crane Operator and went on to be an Inspector in the Quality Control Department his remaining 25 years.

He was a life member of the Coshocton Elks 376, past Governor and life-time member of the Coshocton Moose Lodge 935, past member of the V.F.W. 1330-2040, past officer Am. Fed. Of Musicians (Coshocton Local), Charter member and past President of Coshocton Aviation Association, and a past member of A.O. Pilot Association.

Ron had a passion for music and aviation. He played for several years with many local dance bands in Coshocton and Zanesville. He was an avid pilot with a great love of flying, having owned several planes. He enjoyed working on his planes and actively flew them until the 1990's. He also enjoyed playing golf, repairing and building clubs, as well as collecting model trucks, trains, cars, and farm toys.

He is survived by his daughter Pamela S. Kuntz of Zanesville, OH; granddaughter Kylee Dawn Lasure and great granddaughter Layla Marie of Cardington, OH; sister Barbara May McCann of Newark, OH; several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Priscilla "Polly" E. (Albertson) McCann who passed away in 2018; his youngest sister Bonita Lynn and her husband Doyle Rhinehart; son in law Dale E. Kuntz and nephew Jeffery Eugene McCann.

Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street, Coshocton, on Thursday September 11, 2025 from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM where funeral services will begin at 3:00 PM with Pastor Karen Montgomery officiating. Coshocton County Veterans Honor Guard will also be performing military honors at the funeral home.

Burial of Ron's cremated remains will be held in South Lawn Cemetery at a later date.
