Ricky Swiger

Ricky Lee Swiger, 70, of West Lafayette, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at his home. He was born on October 18, 1954 in Dennison, Ohio to James Edward and Nancy (Gilmore) Swiger, who survive. He previously worked as a roll coater operator for Alsco before their closing. More recently, he worked for Port Washington as a street commissioner where he looked forward to all the mowing and plowing. He was a very funny and happy guy, full of life. He was helpful to those around him, always happy to lend a hand to family or friends.

Along with his parents, he is survived by his partner of over 20 years, Lenora "Kay" Bender; sister, Roxanne (Lavern Keim) Baker; step children, Kurt (Dawn) Anderson, Laura (Michael) Lowe; step grandchildren, Ryan (Allison) Lowe, Kayla Lowe and William (Tiara) Anderson as well as two step great grandchildren, Nolan Lowe and Oaklynn Masters.

Per his wishes a cremation will take place with the Miller Funeral Home and Crematory.
