Richard Herman Frank, 92, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on October 8, 2026.

He was born on September 7, 1934, the son of the late Herman and Helen Frank (née Slack).

Rich graduated from Fresno High School in 1952 and served his country honorably in the United States Army from 1956 to 1958.

On August 9, 1958, he married Barbara Jean Anderson, who survives.

Rich was a longtime businessman and entrepreneur in the area. He was a distributor for 7UP, owned and operated Forest Hill Lake and Campground in Fresno, and later owned and operated Fairview Manor in West Lafayette for many years. He was also a co-owner of Zoar Village Golf Course in Tuscarawas County, which opened in 1975.

Rich was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Coshocton and a social member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was also a lifetime member of Coshocton Elks Lodge No. 376, where he served as Exalted Ruler. He and his wife were longtime supporters of the Coshocton Foundation and believed strongly in giving back to their community. Together, they established the Richard Anthony Frank Memorial Scholarship, helping provide local students with opportunities to pursue their educational goals.

Outside of his work and community involvement, Rich enjoyed traveling and seeing the world with his wife, Barbara. Their travels provided them with many cherished memories and experiences they shared throughout their life together. He was also a lifelong fan of the Cleveland Guardians and the Ohio State Buckeyes and enjoyed following both teams throughout the years.

In addition to his wife, Rich is survived by his daughters, Kimberley (Tom) Householder and Cynthia (James) Hopple; his son, Scott (Donna) Frank; his brothers, Albert (Jane) Frank, Harold (Janet) Frank, Harry Frank and Donald (Karen) Frank; and his sisters, Norma (Bob) Shank and Theresa McConnell. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ashley Juvinall, Dana (Tyler) Backstrom, Jordan (Alex) Schultz, Andrew Frank, Abigail Stebbins, Hannah Frank and Haley (Kadden) Mobley; and three great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Ann Frank.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Richard Anthony Frank; and his grandson, Ryan Matthew Juvinall; brothers, Ernest Frank and Larry (Brenda) Frank; his sisters, Esther (John) Matis and Donna Olinger; brother-in-law Jim McConnell.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday October 17, 2026 from 10:00 am – 11:30 am at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 1500 Pleasant Valley Dr. Coshocton, where the funeral service will follow at 11:30 am, with Pastor Bryan Kittner officiating. Burial at Roscoe Cemetery will be held privately for the family.
