Rick L. Addy

Dec 5, 1958 — Oct 29, 2026

Richard "Rick" Lee Addy, 67, of Keene passed away at home and went to be with his Lord on Thursday October 29, 2026.

He was born in Coshocton on December 5, 1958, lived in Heath, Ohio from 1960 until 2002, when he moved back to Coshocton area, which he always referred to as his home town.

Rick was a 1978 graduate of the E.S. Weiant Starlight School. He had various jobs working for LICCO, Dennison University and later worked at Serenity Tea House. He grew up at Heath Christian Union Church where he was active until his mother's passing in 2002, then he went to live with his brother Harvey, wife Debbie and son Justin. Since then, he has attended several churches until he found a home at Burt Avenue Wesleyan Church.

Rick was a simple man who never let the cares of this world bother him, he was always happy and loving. Rick understood his heavenly fathers love for him and he in turn loved God and being a part of God's family. Rick enjoyed life and loved being around family. Rick really enjoyed: clocks, cars, food, "old time" country music, Ohio State football and listening to baseball games with the Indians and the Reds.

His love for clocks and watches started as a young child. After he got his first chime clock, he was hooked and whenever the discussion of time came up, he'd always quote you the exact time. Rick loved talking about cars, riding in them and he admired cars of all kinds. Rick loved family and holiday gatherings and he enjoyed dining out and trying new restaurants. He loved listening to country music and could tell you the artist's name and sometimes even the year of the song. Artist like Jim Reeves, Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Walon Jennings, Lefty Frizzel, Dolly Parton, Tammy Wynette, Lorretta Lynn and many more. Rick enjoyed sitting outside at the farm and feel the warm sun on his face.

Rick is survived by his brothers, Harvey D. (Jeanne) Addy of Keene, Ohio, and James A. (Chardell) Addy of Newark; nephews, Justin M. Addy of Fresno, Joshua N. Addy of Newark, Alicia C. (Ryan) Crabbin of Newark and Seth A. (Kayla) Addy of Heath, and many great nieces and nephews.
