Norene Mardis

Norene L. Mardis, 87 of Coshocton passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.

She was born on January 29, 1938, in Coshocton to the late John W. and Erma L. (Almack) McCoy.

Norene was a devoted mother and homemaker to her seven children; she cherished every moment raising her family. She also enjoyed spending time outdoors, animals especially horses, dogs and goats, crocheting and bright and colorful flowers, her favorites were red and yellow roses.

She is survived by her children, Melinda (Harold) Haines, Carolyn (Melvin) McVay, Teresa Mardis all of Coshocton, Sue (Bob) Ulrich of West Lafayette, Roy (Norma) Mardis of Warsaw, and Holly (Tracy Bolen) Rea of Coshocton; eleven grandchildren; numerous great and great great-grandchildren; sisters Anna Mae Hoop, Ellen Lauvray and Mary Louise Arnold all of Coshocton; several nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband Roy Mardis, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Misty Mardis and brother Bill McCoy.

A graveside memorial service will be held in Coshocton County Memorial Gardens on Tuesday August 12, 2025, at 10:00 AM with Pastor Rod Uhlig officiating.
