Nancy Lee Bailey

Nancy Bailey, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt to numerous nieces and nephews, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2026. She leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a family who will forever carry her in their hearts.

One of Nancy's greatest joys in life was cooking for her family. She knew everyone's favorite foods and took special care to make every birthday meaningful by preparing the dishes they loved most. At Christmas, she filled the season with delicious caramels, cookies, fudge and candies. These traditions became more than cooking and food; they were expressions of love and pieces of Nancy that will live on.

She also loved her sports and was a devoted fan of the Cincinnati Reds, Bengals and Cleveland Cavaliers, rarely missing a game. Her final evening was spent with family, watching the Reds game on the television. In one last gift for a lifelong fan, the Reds finished the game with a shutout victory. It was a fitting final game to have playing in the background, a small but beautiful reminder of something that brought her joy throughout her life.

Nancy's heart was always with her family and she loved each of them deeply. She is survived by her daughters, Amy (Ray) and Pam (Ken); her son, Rob (Liz); her sons-in-laws, Ed and Bill; her sisters, Rita (Jay) and Mitzi (Chet); along with her grandchildren Amber, Josh, Alison, Matthew, Jeremy, Jordan, Kaleb, Kaylea, Sami, Kristen, Heather, MaryAnn, Johney and Shannon. Each held a special place in her heart and she took great pride in watching them grow, celebrating their lives and being part of their memories. Her love extended to her great-grandchildren as well, who brought her immense joy. She was also blessed throughout her life with wonderful in-laws who became an important part of her family and shared countless memories, celebrations and moments of love and laughter.

Nancy was preceded in death by her mother, Mary West; stepfather, Rodney West; father, John Barnes; beloved husband of 63 years, Robert "Bob" Bailey; daughters, Jill and Linda; son, Allen; grandsons, Jerrod and Parker; and sister, Sue.

Though Nancy's loss leaves an emptiness that cannot be filled, her memory will live on in every recipe shared, every game watched and every story told with love. The life she built, the traditions she created and the love she gave will remain with her family always.

A graveside service will take place on Monday, September 28, 2026 at 1pm at Prairie Chapel Cemetery with Envoy George Bates officiating.
