Monty Earl Prater
April 22, 1953 — January 13, 2018
Monty Earl Prater, 64, of Conesville passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018. He was born in Coshocton on April 22, 1953 to the late Hupper and Susie (Endicott) Prater.
Monty worked for Peabody coal as a coal miner and then became an electrician for IBEW.
He leaves behind his wife of 45 years, Jane; son Seth Prater; daughter Shawn (Garry) West; grandsons Monty and Dillon; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers Arnel, Ralph, Luther, Hoy, and his sister Anne Ruth.
There will be no calling hours for Monty and a burial of cremated remains will be held at a later date in Mt Zion Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be sent to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
