Misty Lynn Roberts

Misty L. Roberts, 62, of Coshocton, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday, September 7, 2026.

Misty was born in Coshocton, Ohio, on February 2, 1964, to Donald and Shirley (Vickers) Roberts. She was a 1982 graduate of River View High School.

Misty had a colorful and memorable career. She managed the Coshocton movie theater before moving to Indiana, where she managed a 10-plex movie theater. Missing her hometown, Misty eventually returned to Coshocton, where she worked as a bartender at several local establishments. Her outgoing personality and ability to make everyone feel welcome made her a natural fit for the people she met throughout her life.

Misty had a contagious personality, much like her father, Donald. She never met a stranger and had a special gift for making friends wherever she went. She will be remembered for her warm heart, humor, and the genuine connections she made with so many people.

Misty found great joy in her flower garden and took pride in caring for her plants. She was also an avid animal lover. Throughout her life, she always had cats and dogs and frequently opened her heart and home to animals in need. She would nurture injured or orphaned wildlife back to health before releasing them back into the wild-even taking in baby skunks. Her beloved dog, Pheobie, and cats, Miss Kitty and Maddie, held an especially special place in her heart.

Misty is survived by her mother, Shirley (Vickers) Roberts; sisters, Mindy (Michael) Gowins and Molly Roberts; nieces and nephews, Cody Gowins, Caitlin (Andrew) Fox, Nathan Stollings, and Garrett (Haylee) Stollings; three great-nieces and nephews, Emerson Fox, Hendrix Stollings, and Juni Stollings; and her former husband, Tyler Darr. Misty shared a particularly special bond with her great-niece, Emerson, and cherished the time they spent together.

She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Roberts.

Per Misty's wishes there will be no services and a cremation will take place. 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be directed towards the Coshocton County Animal Shelter.
