Melanie Jo Ridenbaugh, 68, of Coshocton passed away Sunday, February 1, 2026 at Aultman Hospital in Canton. She was born in Coshocton, OH on September 12, 1957 to the late Theodore "Sonny" and Patricia Infield.
An enthusiast of life, Melanie had a particular passion for riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle and a deep love for ACDC, often seen rocking out at summer music concerts. Whether it was dancing the night away at the Moose Lodge, enjoying the sunshine, or lounging on her front porch while watching TV or listening to her favorite tunes, Melanie truly knew how to soak up every moment. Her camaraderie with friends was reflected in the laughter shared during shopping escapades or swimming at the pool; she never met a stranger and made friends with anyone.
A longtime member of the Coshocton Moose Lodge and Eagle Lodge, Melanie embraced community and friendship in every aspect of her life. She had a diverse work history, working at JC Penney, RevCo (CVS), Annin Flag Company, Four Seasons Tanning Salon, and PNC Bank, where her laughter and warmth touched the lives of many.
In remembering her, we celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. Melanie's cat, Blue, always by her side, was a reminder of the simple joys she cherished.
Melanie is survived by her husband of 50 years, R. Lloyd Ridenbaugh; children Natasha (Jesse) Brickles of West Lafayette and Chad Ridenbaugh of Coshocton; grandchildren Kylar, Akeria, and Jagger Brickles and Caley, Raeya, and Carson Ridenbaugh; along with their mother Amy Ridenbaugh; brother Jimmy (Helen) Infield; brother-in-law John (Cathy) Ridenbaugh; sister-in-law Debbie (George) Wauthier; aunts Virginia Carroll, Kathy Stone, and Juanita Reiss; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her parental grandparents Theodore and Frances Infield; maternal grandparents Russell and Edna Stone; and several uncles.
The family wishes that you take a moment to appreciate the sunshine, and perhaps play a tune from ACDC in her honor. She will be missed deeply, but her spirit will continue to ride on in our hearts.
