Mary Madison

Mary K. Madison, age 91 of Coshocton, passed away on January 1, 2026 at Roscoe Gardens. She was born on April 15, 1934 in Coshocton to the late Frank and Rosa (Hott) Bush. She was a graduate of Coshocton High School and worked as a Home Health Aide until she retired. On August 19, 1950, she married Earnest Madison, who passed in 1997. She was a long-time member of the Salvation Army Church. In her free time, she enjoyed playing cards, especially Hausey and bingo. She loved to go fishing and play pool.

She is survived by her children, Carol Madison, Patricia (Ralph) Barker and Linda (Glenn) Head; son-in-law, Frank Sharier Jr.; grandchildren, Richard (Penny) Gates, Terry Porter Jr., Bobbi Porter, Melissa Porter, Nina (Rex) Holmes, Vicki (Dennis) Gray, Greg (Tricia) Barker, Nicholas (Tiffanie) Barker, Megan Smailes, Mandy Besst, Frank Sharier III and Adam Sharier; great grandchildren, Zachary Porter, Ashley Porter, Jared Holdsworth, Haley Barker, Autumn Barker, Aria Albertson, Paul Wheeler, Rachel (Holden) Border, Madison (Zach) Girton, Alie Barker, Austin Barker, Sydnee Smailes, Shaylynn Smailes, Alex Smailes, Raven (Phil) Fountain, Reece Sharier, Steven Sharier, Briley Sharier, Frank Sharier IIII, Kandance Sharier, Christine Sharier, James Sharier and Aaron Sharier; great great grandchildren, Zared Taylor, Ronan Border, Allison Marie, Azlon Bissett, Gabby Harmon and Harvey Girton.

Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Sharier; grandsons, Steven Sharier and Caleb Barker.

Calling hours will be at the Miller Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 7 from 11am to 1pm. The funeral service will be at 1pm with Majors Tom and Victoria Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Coshocton County Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Salvation Army at 219 N 4th St Coshocton, Ohio 43812.
