Margaret Ann Williams-Edmunds, 82, of Coshocton, OH, was born on April 9, 1944, in Lexington, Kentucky to Louanna Williams and James Otis Williams. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, homemaker, friend, and woman of faith whose life was defined by her love for her family, her compassion for others, and her unwavering trust in God.
Margaret spent part of her childhood in a children's home, where she helped care for some of her younger siblings. She often spoke with great affection about her Aunt Katie, who was like a second mother to her during those years. Margaret especially credited Aunt Katie for inspiring her love and talent for cooking.
After graduating from Henry Clay High School, Margaret married the son of her Sunday school teacher. Her faith remained an important part of her life throughout the years. She looked to God for direction and shared her faith freely with others, while always respecting and accepting people for their differences.
Margaret dedicated much of her life to caring for her family and making a loving home. She also worked whenever needed to help provide for those she loved. Family was at the center of her world, and she especially cherished having everyone together for holidays and family gatherings. She was always willing to help family, friends, and those who were less fortunate, often putting the needs of others before her own.
Margaret had a deep love for animals and always had pets that she cared for dearly. She enjoyed nature, farm life, gardening, and decorating her home. She loved exploring antique stores and looked forward to visits to Amish country. She was also a strong and determined woman who faced colon cancer and survived, demonstrating the fighting spirit that carried her through many challenges in life.
In her later years, some of Margaret's happiest moments were spent sitting on her porch, talking with family and friends. Those simple moments reflected what mattered most to her: being surrounded by the people she loved, sharing conversation, and enjoying the beauty of everyday life.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husbands, John Robert Williams and William Edmunds, and her life partner, Ronald Harter. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, James Williams, Tommy Williams, Lucian Williams, Carol Lowrey, and Linda David.
She is survived by her children, Shelly Tatum (Johnny), John Williams (Kelly), Stephanie Harter (Larry), Kimberly Williams, and Gregory Williams; five grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren, with another great-grandchild on the way; and siblings, Kathy Maxwell, Roger Dale Guess, Robert Lee Guess, Gary Guess, and Melissa Davis.
Calling hours will be held at Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street, Coshocton, OH 43812 on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 from 11-12pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 12pm with Pastor Rod Uhlig officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset View Cemetery, Freeport, OH.
