Machiel "Mac" Kay Carroll

Machiel "Mac" Kay Carroll, 50, of West Lafyette passed unexpectantly at her home on Monday, September 21, 2026. She was born in Coshocton, OH on September 22, 1975 to David Lanham Sr. and Mary "Kathy" Duff.

Mac graduated from Coshocton High School in 1993 and in 2005 she went on to be an STNA where she began working at Signature Healthcare in Coshocton and later as an LPN. She moved to Newark and began working at Autumn Healthcare Center to further her career as a nurse while going through school to become an RN. She graduated from COTC as a Register Nurse in 2009. After becoming an RN she was given the opportunity to be DON of Autumn Healthcare in Newark and Thornville until 2014. At this time, Mac, began her career as a traveling nurse in various states from 2014-2016. Mac enjoyed traveling to various states as a nurse because she was able to bring her mom along to help fulfill her bucket list. After her traveling career she became a cardiac nurse at Genesis Zanesville before retiring in 2024 to become fulltime caregiver to her mother and father-in-law.

Along with her parents, Mac is survived by her husband of 25 years, Bryan Carroll; son Andrew (Erinn) Getchey of Plainfield; daughter Morgan (Dub) Carroll - Porter of West Lafayette; step sons Blake (Mikala) Carroll of Frazeysburg and Chase Carroll of Coshocton; grandchildren Brycen Brock, Laiklynn Carroll, Holland Anderson, Bailey Carroll, and Memphis and Beau Porter; her dad Joe Mansfield; her fur-baby Remmi; siblings Dave (Amanda) Lanham and Darrell (Shannon) Lanham; 14 nieces and nephews, and 6 great nieces and nephews.

Mac is preceded in death by her grandparents Edward and Kathern Duff and Henry and Helen Lanham; mother and father-in-law Bill Carroll and Jim and Cathy Kobel; best friend Jody Dickerson; aunt Vernita Brown, Uncle Jim Duff, and Cousin Jody Holpp.

Calling hours will be held at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton, OH 43812 on Saturday, September 26, 2026 from 10:00am - 11:00am with funeral services beginning at 11:00am with Pastor Dan Eggan officiating. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery, Warsaw.
