Lynn "Half Pint" Powelson Sr., 82, of Conesville, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born on September 24, 1943, in Coshocton, Ohio, to the late Eldon Joseph and Evelyn Pauline (Balo) Powelson.
Lynn graduated from Jefferson High School in 1961. He worked in the coal mines of New Mexico and Colorado for many years before returning to Coshocton. After moving back home, he owned and operated Dresden Auto and Truck Repair before working as a field mechanic for Williams Paving and The Olen Corporation for many years before retiring.
He was a member of Conesville United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time listening to his CB radio.
On March 27, 1970, Lynn married Patricia (Buckmaster) Powelson, who survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Lynn (Crystal) Powelson Jr. of Coshocton, Amy (Kevin) Spiker of Dresden, and Scott (Andrea) Powelson of Coshocton; grandchildren, Baylie Powelson, Logan Spiker, Cory Powelson, Blake Carroll, Chase Carroll, Cody Cox, and Allison Cox; 11 great-grandchildren; his sister, Loretta (Richard) Hanson of Tucson, Arizona; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
In addition to his parents, Lynn was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clyde and Betty (Walker) Buckmaster.
Calling hours will be held at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton, OH 43812 on Monday, July 20, 2026 from 11:00am - 1:00pm with funeral services beginning at 1:00pm with Rev. Jeff Chapin officiating. A cremation will follow.
