Louie A Hunt

Lewis "Louie" Allen Hunt, 95, of Coshocton, passed away Monday, October 12, 2026, at Roscoe Gardens Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born in Coshocton, Ohio, on September 13, 1931.

Louie proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

On September 25, 1949, he married M. Louise (Sloan) Hunt, who preceded him in death on January 30, 2010.

Louie retired from Stone Container and, following his retirement, became the owner and operator of Lewis A. Hunt Trucking. He continued driving trucks for many years following retirement, reflecting his strong work ethic and dedication. Lewis also enjoyed riding and showing horses. He and his beloved wife, Louise, earned numerous trophies and ribbons throughout their years participating in horse shows.

He is survived by his son, Robert Wayne (Diana) Hunt of Coshocton; five grandchildren, Tracy (Scott) Parks, Michael (Janay) Hunt, Serenity Tarwick, Lacey Allen, and Christa (Matthew) McDowell; great-grandchildren, Macy Parks, Nequisha and Jordan Hunt and Ira Allen; and special friends and caregivers, Betti (Rick) Phelps.

In addition to his wife, Louise, he was preceded in death by his sons, Larry Allen Hunt and David Hunt.

Private services will be held at Valley View Cemetery, Warsaw, OH at a later date.
