Lillian "Jane" Johnson, 90, of West Lafayette, died on 09/10/25 after a short time in hospice. She and her husband were season ticket holders to Opera Columbus for many years and enjoyed seeing their favorite operas, with Verdi being. Jane was an avid seamstress and sewed most of her own wardrobe for most of her adult life. She worked at Joann Fabrics after her retirement because she loved seeing all the beautiful fabrics as they came in. She and her husband treasured their pets including many cats and dogs over the years, but their dachshunds Kristy and Hilde were the most special of all.
Jane loved one thing above all else in the world and that is Englebert Humperdinck. She and her sisters attended hundreds of his shows over the years, building life long friendships with other fans and getting to know Enge well enough to be recognized and greeted when they saw him on tour. She traveled to many states to see his shows through the years
A service will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Fresno on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at 1pm with Pastor Dan Eggan officiating.
