John W Sharrock, 75, of Walhonding, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026, at his home with his family, just shy of his 76th birthday.
He was born July 23, 1950, in Cambridge, Ohio, to John and Evelyn Sharrock Jr..
His journey through life was marked by enduring love, quiet strength, and a steadfast commitment to family—qualities that live on in the memories of those who loved him.
He found a true companion in Beatrice G. “Bea” Sharrock, his beloved wife, whom he married September 9, 1973.
John found peace hunting, fishing, spending time outdoors with his family. Later in life, he found so much joy and happiness spending time with his grandchildren.
He retired from NCI insulation after working 20 years, was a member of the Gold Prospectors Club and the NRA
John is survived by his beloved wife Beatrice “Bea” Sharrock; caring mother Evelyn Sharrock of Pataskala; devoted children John (Jody) Sharrock, Sherry (Darrell) Roderick, Keith (Stephanie) Sharrock and Mike (Vanessa) Sharrock all of Coshocton; his grandchildren Jennifer, Kylie, Zoey Roderick, Ava, Mikey Jr., Nova Sharrock; step grandchildren Aurora, Kaitlyn, Emily, Niles, Balie, and Xavier.
Each shared a special place in his heart, and he took great pride in watching them grow. Through stories, laughter, and the quiet moments shared, John passed down his wisdom, always offering an encouraging word or a listening ear.
He is also survived by his siblings Roger (Pam) Sharrock of Centerburg; Michael (Lori) Sharrock of Alexandria, Patty Sharrock of Utica, Vicky Chaffin of Pataskala, Pam (Kyle) Ball of Granville and Helen (Brian) Dunn of Chesterland, John’s family would like to extend a special thanks to his brother Michael and sister Vicky for their kind and compassionate help caring for John.
Also surviving is a special nephew C.J. Temple, as well as many other nieces and nephews.
He leaves behind a legacy of quiet resilience, compassion, and the importance of cherishing every moment with loved ones.
Family and friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street, Coshocton, on Saturday July 11, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 4:00 p.m. with John’s brother, Pastor Michael Sharrock officiating.
A cremation will take place after the funeral services.
John's family would like to ask, please plant a tree on your property in his memory as his family has so many fond memories planting trees with John.
