Jeffery Scott Frank, 71, passed away peacefully on December 14th, 2025 after a long and hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer. It is said that true kindness resides in one's soul. The kindness Jeff showed throughout his life far exceeded common pleasantries, it included thoughtfulness, humility, and servanthood.
Jeff grew up on the Frank family farm in Copley, Ohio. He graduated from Copley High School in 1974.
Jeff never married but had many cherished friends and family. He is preceded in death by his father, George Frank. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Frank, sister, Debbie Brown-Clark (Steve), nieces Sarah (Gary) Gosche, Kirsten (Kory) McPeck, and Elizabeth (Paul) Napier. He had five great nieces, Kiera, Lydia, Leah, Devynn and Addie and one great nephew, James.
Since Jeff never married nor had children, his nieces received the full effect of his doting love and affection. A trip to the Frank farm meant tractor rides, mini-bike adventures, and cherished experiences that will be forever treasured. Many of Jeff's extended family also lived on the Frank farm and their bonds of family and friendship will never be forgotten. Special acknowledgements include cousins, Bill, Barry, Davey, Kim, Lynda, Susie, Greg, and Jenny; friends, Lynn, Janet, Lisa, Denise, and his cherished friend and confidant, Larry.
Jeff worked for Copley City Schools for 30 years and meticulously cared for the buildings under his supervision. He will be remembered for his brilliant mind and gifted ability to name events that covered the past 60 years. You never wanted to challenge Jeff to a trivia game about sports, music, tractors or history. His memory and recall was unmatched.
It is possible that one of Jeff's most memorable moments came when he and his friend played one of the greatest senior pranks in the history of Copley High. With much scheming, they wrangled the Brown Derby cow and transported it to the front door of the high school in the wee hours of the morning in 1974. No one ever figured out who was responsible for the prank, but we suppose it's time to set the record straight.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in the spring at Copley United Methodist Church. Per Jeff's wishes, his remains will be cremated and spread around the Frank family farm. In honor of Jeff and his unwavering commitment to serve others, we ask you to show kindness and love to those you cherish most.
Monetary donations can be made in his name to Copley United Methodist Church, 1518 S. Cleveland Massillon Road, Copley, Ohio 44321.
2Timothy 4: 7-8 NIV I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord the righteous Judge, will award unto me that day.
