Jean E Burchfield

Jean E. Burchfield, 98, of Coshocton passed away at Altercare of Coshocton on Wednesday April 15, 2026.

Jean was born in Crestline, Ohio on June 19, 1927, to the late Thomas & Margaret (Gayhart) Gaskins.

She had worked as an assist at Arndt Chiropractic for several years, was active as a lecturer for Weight Watchers and a long-time devoted member of the Coshocton Church of the Nazarene. She also enjoyed reading and watching sports, especially the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Jean is survived by her son Michael (Cookie) Burchfield of Coshocton; daughters Gail (Joe) Tokos of Malvern, OH, Beth Borchert of MO and Patty (Randy) Krieger of Coshocton; grandchildren Mike Varble, Tricia (Chris) Massa, Mark Varble, Matt (Erika) Varble, Amber Borchert, Arthur Borchert, Tom (Sarah) Krieger, and Tyler (Kinzie) Krieger; six great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. 

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Richard W. Burchfield who passed away in 1998; daughter Kristin Varble; brother Thomas Gaskins; two sisters Elaine Overcasher and Peggy Clifford.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Tuesday April 21, 2026 from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM where funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM with Pastor Andrew Bird officiating. Interment will follow in Coshocton County Memory Gardens.
