Jack Allen Lewis, 79, of West Lafayette passed away on July 30, 2026 at Genesis Hospital. He was born on February 25, 1947 in Coshocton to the late Ross and Myrtle (Phillabaum) Lewis. He was a high school graduate of Three Rivers High School and worked for Novelty Advertising for over 30 years until his retirement. On December 13, 1975, he married Patricia (Carroll) Lewis, who survives. Jack was a friendly and social man who never met a stranger. He enjoyed talking with family and friends, checking in on others, and was a frequent caller to the WTNS Talk Show. He had many friends in the Amish community and always enjoyed spending time with them.

Family meant everything to Jack. He was devoted to his loving wife, Patricia for over 53 years. They were the firm foundation of their family. He loved his grandchildren and always made sure they were cared for. In his free time, he enjoyed going to yard sales and auctions, where he was always on the lookout for something to add to his collection. When he was younger, he also loved spending time outdoors mushroom hunting. He was a huge sports fan, especially The Ohio State Buckeyes.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his grandchildren, Natasha (Jeremiah) Gambill, Austin (Kristen) Lewis, Jordan Daviet, Abigail Baker, Kadee Lewis and Claude Lewis; many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; siblings, Steve (Pat) Lewis, Kathy Brandon, Debi (Alonzo) Salcido and Teresa Lewis as well as many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Penny Lynn Lewis; great granddaughter, Genesis and siblings, Janice Sundheimer, Barb McCullough, Harold Lewis, Judy Duncan and Tom Lewis.

Calling hours will be on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 from 11am to 1pm. The funeral service will begin at 1pm with Rev. Carolyn Mann officiating. A cremation will take place after the services.
