Glenn W. King

February 16, 1925 — June 2, 2026

Conesville

Glenn William King, 101, of Conesville, Ohio passed away on June 2, 2026 after a long and happy life. He was born the youngest of four children on February 16, 1925 in Trinway, Ohio to Glenn Corwin King and Myra Ethel Ridgway King. Glenn attended Dresden schools, farmed on a deferment during World War II and subsequently farmed his whole life. He married R. June Sturgis on April 14, 1945 and together they raised three children in the Conesville community.

Since 1945, Glenn was an active member of the Conesville United Methodist Church, serving as a trustee and contributing to a large number of maintenance and improvement projects. He enjoyed cross-country travel with June and they saw much of the US and Canada during their many vacations. In his numerous decades farming, Glenn was involved in the agricultural community on countless levels. Living a life that spanned more than a century, advances over the course of his career took him from team drawn farming techniques in the early years to his personal point of pride, which was harvesting his record yields with a combine harvester.

Glenn is survived by his daughters Linda Dianne Cerceo (Henry) of Charleston, SC; Vickie Kobel (Thomas) of Coshocton; grandchildren Amanda Lovingood, Benjamin King, Casey King, H. Jay Cerceo, Graham Cerceo, Wesley Kobel, Tyler Kobel; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings (Wanda Maxine, Glenna Pearl, and Rodney Clay), wife Reva June (Sturgis) King, their son, Glenn Dale King, and daughter-in-law, Lois (Mowery) King.

Visitation will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 6 at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton preceding a noon funeral service. Rev. Carl Schaefer will officiate and burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Conesville United Methodist Church; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
