George Franklin Green

George F. Green, age 85, of West Lafayette passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026. He was born on July 26, 1940 in Coshocton to the late Roe and Bertha (Cognion) Green. On June 30, 1962, he married Martha (Hawk) Green, who survives. He spent his working career at Clow Water Systems. George kept busy in his retired years by spending time outside. He had an old car that always kept shined up and looking its best. You could find him tending to his yard by mowing or working in their flower beds. George and Martha enjoyed the slow times of sitting on the front porch together, admiring their hard work in the beautiful flower beds, all while, petting a stray cat that chose George and was always near.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his children, Cindy (Myron) Baker of Coshocton, William (Diana) Green of Isletta, Thomas (Sandra) Green of West Lafayette Darlene (Drew) Dyer of West Lafayette and Nick (Carol) Green of West Lafayette;11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; siblings, Pauline (Gary) Russell, Edna Patternson, Emma Mullett, Nora Groff, Billy (Kathy) Green, Betty (Ken) Troyer, Rosemary Abel, Bertha (Tom) Dusenberry and Carolyn (Eric) Johnston.

He is preceded in death by his parents, great grandson, Kendall Fortune and siblings, Charles Green, Mary Snell, Raymound Green, Paul Green, Roy Green and 3 infant siblings.

A cremation will take place with the Miller Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will take place at a later date at the Fairfield Cemetery.
