Gary "Big G" Eugene Mardis, 63, of Coshocton passed away on September 12, 2025 at his home. He was born in Coshocton on April 10, 1962.

Gary was well loved as a bartender in various places in Coshocton including Army Navy, Walnut St. Inn, Underground, and the Eagles. He loved old Chevy Trucks, dirt track racing, watching the Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns, but mostly he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Gary is survived by his girlfriend 30 years, Harriet Wilson; children Brandi (Ryan) Nixon, Justin (Jackie) Mardis, and Michelle (Harley) Wilson; mother Donna (Van Sickle) Mardis; grandchildren Brinlee Nixon, Jared Mardis, Jacobi, Harley, Amrey, and Luxton Wilson, and Christian Cheney; siblings Vernon (Karen) Mardis, Cheryl Walters, Richard (Lynnett Kaiser) Mardis, Mary (Shawn) Crabbin, Chad Henderson, Nikki Mardis, and Amanda Mardis - Finton; and many nieces and nephews.

Gary is preceded in death by his father Gerald "Butch" E. Mardis; and brother Robert "Bobby" Mardis.

Calling hours will be held at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street, Coshocton, OH 43812 on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 from 11:00am - 1:00pm with funeral services beginning at 1:00pm with Pastor Lloyd Tenney officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.
