Ellen Tatten

Ellen Tatten, 96 of Coshocton and formerly of Las Vegas, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025. She was born on February 1, 1929 in Coshocton to the late Blain and Estella (Addy) Whyde. On June 28, 1947, she married, John Tatten who passed in 2013. She worked for the Coshocton City Schools cafeteria and later was a member of the School Employee Retirement System. She was a lifetime member of the Park United Methodist Church. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling.

Ellen is survived by her children, Tom (Glady) Tatten of Nevada and Sue (Larry) Broadwater of Coshocton; grandchildren, Tom (Allison) Broadwater, Brian (Alyssa) Broadwater, Scott (Tasha) Broadwater, Kyle (Bobbie) Lawrence, Manuelito Molion and Mary Ocanada; great grandchildren, Naylee and Weston Broadwater.

Along with her husband she is preceded in death by her siblings, George, Don, Jim, Tom, and Reece Whyde, Florence Amoore and Alma Johnson.

Calling hours will be at The Miller Funeral Home on Friday, September 5, 2025 from 12-1pm. The funeral service will begin at 1pm with Rev. Philip Hunt officiating. Burial will follow at Frazeysburg Cemetery.
