Charlene Belle Ross, 99, was born August 11, 1926. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Marguerite (Blaine) Riley of Frazeysburg, Ohio. She died on October 22, 2025.
Charlene graduated from Frazeysburg High School in 1944. She married Edward Ross of Adams Mills, Ohio on February 25, 1945. During their 75 years of marriage, God blessed them with three sons, James (Betty), Donald (Becky) and Charles (Gia). They were also blessed with 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great, great-grandchildren.
Charlene worked in a bank prior to marriage. She then became a wonderful, gracious mother, grandmother and friend, which is her legacy. She was an excellent homemaker. She had many friends and was very well respected, as was Edward. She was a member of Adams Mills/Dresden Madison Presbyterian Church and Eastern Star. She thoroughly enjoyed playing bridge and hausey with family and friends. She enjoyed her many winters in Florida and travel vacations. Most of all, she was deeply loved by her family.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded by her husband (2020), son Donald (2022), great grandson Camden (2016) and brother, William (1996).
The calling hours will be at The Miller Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 from 11am to 1pm. The funeral service will be at 1pm at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Patton and Rev Darla Revennaugh assisting. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.
Contribution can be made to the Madison Presbyterian Church in Dresden, Ohio.
