Bruce D. Fletcher, 72 of Coshocton went home to his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at Altercare in Coshocton, after a short illness. He was born Bruce Dean Fletcher on May 12, 1954 to Archie Fletcher Jr. and Carol JoAnn Castle (Fletcher) Marquand in Coshocton. Bruce went to school in Newcomerstown and later at Coshocton. He went into the Army and spent time in Germany during his duty. He was honorably discharged in May of 1974. Bruce worked for Peabody Coal in deep mines and later as a heavy equipment operator. After Peabody he became a semi-truck driver, working for the Ross Brothers, then later Coshocton Trucking Company. He drove truck until he became disabled.
Bruce loved life and he really liked to fly. He had an Ultra Lite Glider for a while. Then he got his pilot license and bought an airplane and flew. He belonged to Cloud Climbers Club and flew model planes. He loved to fly.
Bruce also loved to ride his motorcycles, he owned several through the years. His last ride was a T- Bucket, he could be seen riding around town. Bruce was a kind soul and would help anyone in need. He attended the Shepards Assembly Church on Main Street with Pastor Starkey Lawrence.
He is survived by his children, Jeremy, Mindy, Hope and Joshua Fletcher. He had 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and one on the way. Siblings, Cindy (West), Mike Bailey, JoEllen and Richad Marquand, John and Kristy Fletcher and Tom and Cheryl Fletcher. Many nieces, nephews and cousins. An Aunt Marde Hothem and Uncle Steve Castle. His very special friend, companion and care giver these last few months, Teresa Boals and his loving cat, Pip.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Archie Fletcher Jr. and Carol JoAnn (Fletcher) Marquand, brother-in-law, Gary West.
Per Bruce's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service with military honors will be held at a later date at Coshocton County Memory Gardens.
The Miller Funeral Home and Crematory are assisting the family.
