Brent Ames

Brent D. Ames, age 56, passed away on October 14, 2026 after struggling months with health issues. Brent was born on April 27, 1970 in Coshocton to Gordon and Diane (Ortt) Ames. Brent went to Kent State and graduated with an associate's degree in industrial engineering. He was a fanatical football fan. He was especially devoted to "The Ohio State Buckeyes" and the Dallas Cowboys. Brent was known to always lend a hand to anyone who needed it. Shoveling walks for his neighbors. But as hard as he worked, he also likes to cause his share of mischief. In high school, he was well known in the Vice-Principals office.

He is survived by his parents and his brother, Stephen Ames. Brent will be sorely missed by everyone. One thing for sure, whenever the Bucks are playing, Brent will be watching.

Calling hours will be at The Miller Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 20, 2026 from 12pm to 1pm. A graveside service will take place at the Coshocton County Memory Gardens at 1:30pm with Pastor Deb Quillen officiating.
