Anthony "Tony" L. Shuck, 86, of West Lafayette, passed away at his home on Monday July 14, 2025. He was born in Coshocton, OH on September 8, 1938 to the late Sylvester "Bus" and Marie (Mowery) Shuck, he was their first born.
Tony graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1957 and was a lifetime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He served in the United States Army Reserves from 1961-1967 in the 717th Railway Battalion with an E-5 Rank and retired from General Electric after 28 years.
He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, and archery. He received many awards for his skills from Ohio Huskie Muskie Club, Ohio Big Bucks Club, and was State Archery Champion.On April 8, 1961, he married the love of his life, Janet McFarland and together they shared 64 years of making memories of love, laughter, happiness, and some sad times.
Survived by his loving wife Janet they were blessed with two sons Chris (Susan) Shuck and Tim Shuck both of West Lafayette; grandchildren Bethany Shuck, Benjamin Shuck, and Joseph Holmes; brother Rick Shuck; sister Teresa Stiteler; several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Marilyn A. Lauvray; infant brother James Shuck; and niece Tarra Shuck.
Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Thursday, July 17, 2025 from 4:00pm - 6:00pm with a wake service beginning at 6:00pm along with military honors by the Coshocton County Veterans Council. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Friday at 10:30am with Father Brian Beal officiating.
A Cremation will take place following the services.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Sacred Heart Catholic Church; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
