Althea Jo Andrews

Althea Jo Andrews, age 70 of Coshocton, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2026 at her home. She was born on August 6, 1956 in Coshocton, to the late Denvil Lee and Joan (Warren) McVay. Althea worked in various roles in restaurants, where her love for cooking developed even more. Just like everything in life, she poured love into every dish that she would prepare, noting that this was ALWAYS the most important ingredient. She cherished the simple things in life. Where she was, or what she was doing wasn't really important, as long as she was spending time with her family or friends, that is all that truly mattered to her. Althea stood strong in her faith and love for the Lord. It was because of her faith that she held tight to the promise that it would never be a goodbye, but always "I'll see you later."

Althea is survived by her children, Jessica Hebert, Dennis Johnson, Eric (Sara) Andrews and Hercules Savakis; several grandchildren and siblings, Tony McVay, Chris (Tammy) McVay, Jonnie (Rick) Nelson and Denvil "Dink" (Michelle) McVay as well as several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her partner, Teresa Speaks and brother, Greg McVay.

Calling hours will be at The Miller Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 from 12pm to 1pm. The funeral service will begin at 1pm with Bill Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Canal Lewisville Cemetery.
